Problem
Orange Octopus needed a complete and integrated system to power a complete turn-key international sales portal for its clients. This meant that OOC was in need of a robust and custom eCommerce engine that could adhere to all of the requirements of selling internationally online. Orange Octopus wanted to provide this functionality to its clients with a "flip-of-a-switch." OOC approached Clarity with these requirements to be completed in a timely fashion.

The fully integrated Microsoft backend international eCommerce system provided many custom and essential features such as: Turn-key selling ability for new clients, Multitier business logic, Multilingual eCommerce, Shipping integration (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.), Dynamically printing shipping labels, International customs and tax calculation, Partner portal login system, and a Built-in marketing presence with clear calls to action.
Solution
Clarity and OOC teamed up to map out the current sales workflows of its clients' sites, and cross referenced it with the required business logic of the new system framework. Once it had a strong foundation the system in place, Clarity was able to deliver an enterprise class and fully featured Microsoft based system on a custom DotNetNuke framework using ASP.Net and MSSQL R2 2008 that satisfied every requirement of the project and its users.
Technologies
Microsoft ASP.Net and Custom DotNetNuke Development for custom international eCommerce functionality. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 was utilized for optimal database performance. Clarity customized the DotNetNuke framework to fit the requirements of this project.
