Candidate Engagement

Using the Right Tools to Get the Right Analytics

How to Measure What's Working

measure recruiting candidate website engagementSo now that we've got the energetic platform to showcase how great your company is to work for, how do we measure the success, or conversion rate of the portal? Of course there is the simple "applicant filled out job application" transaction, but there’s so much more to measuring engagement. What on the site is peaking your candidates’ interest more? What activities, galleries, case studies, etc. do they spend more time on or convert more often from?

Business intelligence for a careers portal is basically the same exercise as tracking analytics on your corporate website. The only problem with that is from experience, more than 90% of the clients we speak to only use the basic Google analytics tracking. Just like your website is not going to give you the necessary data needed to provide guidance and feedback for ensuring and improving site conversions, neither is your careers portal, unless you've set up the right analytics tools. It’s a good thing that Clarity not only knows tools, but uses many of them.

So Many Tools - Which Ones To Use?

measuring user engagement on your siteWhat are they doing on my site? Google analytics will provide basic numbers for this; how many and how long, but unless you've invested in setting up event tracking, not much more. Clarity uses dozens of other analytics tools that are available to provide you with the real information you need, what is working, what is not, and what changes do you need to make? There is a science to exposing calls-to-action in the right places, viewing the users’ experiences on your portal, measuring conversions to the same call-to-action from different locations, split testing various information to improve engagement and conversion, and a whole lot more. Let Clarity’s years of experience with hundreds of clients help you improve your candidates’ engagement and conversion.
