Development Operations Assistant

Make a direct impact on the operations of billion dollar companies
Responsibilities
Salary: DOE / Competitive

Description

The Development Operations (DevOps) Assistant will assist with a wide array of tasks from setting up Server environments, monitoring production site uptime, generating reporting, and some light troubleshooting. We have a growing team and are looking for driven individuals who are looking to grow and expand their career and opportunities.

Responsibilities

Starting out, the DevOps Assistant will help coordinate and deploy software on Windows Server 2019 environments and will learn skills related to what is necessary for web application deployments into different environments. This will include items like direct software deployment to Azure cloud deployments and making sure the environments and settings are setup to the standards that are implemented.

This role will also monitor and maintain Windows updates across our virtualized servers and ensure items such as ransomware prevention software and machine level firewall settings are setup for maximum protection against threats.

Additionally, this role will take on some light reporting tasks which will be performed inside of a Microsoft SQL environment that has been integrated into Power BI and potentially help with pulling data from our Azure Dev Ops environment to create some reports for the management team.

A typical week for this individual would include monitoring our notifications for any site outages and reporting those to the Project Management and development team, working on standardizing our server reporting to make sure all required items are maintained and up to date.

Additionally, this role will have growth opportunities to learn how to debug and deploy our software to servers for clients, and eventually be able to handle internal development deployments to the team.

As Clarity continues to grow over the next 12-18 months, we will have opportunities for this role to grow and become more specialized to include manage users and groups in active directory, manage permissions across the organization, coordinate backup and disaster recovery plans, and other items that will tie to the Development Operations Domain.
