One of the major changes in Dynamics GP 2013 is its licensing and pricing structure, which has been molded to better fit the architecture of the ERP system itself. If your business is considering an upgrade, it will impact your licensing plan, and you’ll need to be aware of the changes. Dynamics GP 2013 Licensing Changes Contrary to the previous licensing structure, there are now two types of user licenses: a full user license and a limited user license. Full user licenses, no matter how the user accesses the ERP system, provide full read and write functionalities within the system. Limited user licenses provide full read and limited write functionalities within any module. Change to Perpetual Licensing in Dynamics GP If you have purchased Dynamics GP prior to October 1, 2012, you will receive one full user license for each user license already owned. If you want to upgrade to Dynamics GP 2013, will will have to transition from your current licensing model to the Perpetual Pricing model. If you have purchased Dynamics GP prior to October 1, 2012, you will receive one full user license for each user license already owned.
