What’s New In Dynamics GP 2013?

There are so many new features of Dynamic GP 2013 that we’ll let another article cover them all. In sum, there are over 100 upgrades or new features! The features that have businesses and bloggers talking the most are its browser-based interface (allowing users to take advantage of mobile browsing), and an enhanced, more efficient printing feature that allows users to select a printer at the time of printing. Other features range from better serial tracking devices to improved shipping integration.

Dynamics GP 2013 Release Date

Dynamics GP 2013 is set to be released in December of 2012, although the Beta version is already out now for Partners. Microsoft has released a statement noting that all future ERP products will be released “cloud-first.” This means the release date of the cloud versions of products will be ahead of the on-premise versions.

Dynamics GP 2013 Pricing Model

One of the major changes of Dynamics GP 2013 is its pricing model. The ERP system will now be priced on a model called Perpetual Licensing, which meets the architecture needs of Microsoft Dynamics GP more closely. Our next article will cover the new licensing details and how they impact your business, but the new model simplifies pricing dramatically. In short, the price is broken into “packs,” covering a la cart models and features that are priced individually. This allows for greater customization while keeping costs down.
