Prince Hydraulics first approached Clarity looking for DNN (DotNetNuke) experts. As a global Gold Certified DNN Partner, Clarity jumped in and partnered with Prince on the planning and re-design of their website. As the project started, it expanded into improving the online user experience, including the ability for users to order custom-designed hydraulic pumps.
Prince's internal IT staff tried to do a DotNetNuke version upgrade themselves and ran into the very common problem of javascript errors and issues with their skin after the update. They decided that if they were going to spend the time to get the errors and DNN version updated, it was also time to update the look and feel of the website. They also wanted to create a secure login for their clients to place orders for custom-built pumps, check their availability and monitor their progress during construction.
Clarity used the dynamic security features of DNN and built a secure login area of the website for their clients. Then to provide the ability for real-time searching of custom stock inventory, Clarity integrated with their ERP system (Infor's Fourth Shift) to push orders, check inventory and product build status.
Prince has vastly improved their image with their new hi-res graphics, mobile responsive website design, custom navigation and extended their ability to process custom-build orders, which is something they deemed essential to support their planned growth.
The front-end CMS is DNN’s Evoq Professional. HTML5, CSS3 and Modernizr was used to create the responsive template.
Clarity Connect, JavaScript, JQuery, Telerik controls were all needed for various features and functionality, as well as a host of DNN modules, like XMod Pro, Easy DNN News, Rotator and Gallery.
