What Is Sage 50?

Implemented by the Sage Group, and to benefit small and medium-sized companies, Sage 50 Cloud presents all accounting and payment products in one place.

In its name, the number 50 actually means that it was initially applied only in companies with no more than 50 employees. However, the application is used more widely now.

How to Activate Sage 50

Activating Sage 50 after installing from the network:
  • Activate the product on the server before installing on the workstations, to ensure that you receive timely updates, upgrade offers, and various information.
  • To activate Sage 50, first go to the “Help” option and then to “Sage 50 Activation.”
  • Then select “Activate online.” If you are new, you may need to fill out a short form before you are allowed to activate Sage 50.
Activating Sage 50 without an internet connection:
  • There is an option to manually activate Sage 50 once you meet the Sage 50 usage restriction without activation.
  • If you want to enter or update activation information, you must first go to the “Help” option and then select “Sage 50 Activation.”
  • To manually activate Sage 50, enter your user ID and activation code. The activation code is in the Sage download notification email if you’ve downloaded the product.
  • If you haven’t downloaded Sage 50, go to the Sage 50 website where you’ll receive an activation code after completing the questionnaire.
  • Or you can call Sage 50 for free on one of the following numbers, depending on which program you have:
    • Sage 50 Complete Accounting and Sage 50 Premium Accounting: 1-800-840-7329
    • Sage 50 Quantum Accounting: 1-888-573-0319
    • If you are outside the United States, call 770-492-6333
  • If you call, make sure you have your serial number, name, company address, and telephone number handy as you’ll need to provide this information to the Sage 50 customer service operator.
  • The operator will then give you the key you need to activate.
  • You can enter the optional referral ID, or the ID of the person or company that recommended Sage 50 to you.
  • Then just click “Activate,” and you’re all set!
