The Client

Shining Star Therapy (SST) provides a range of professional in-home or daycare therapeutic services (Occupational, Speech, Physical, Developmental and Learning Disability Therapy) to infants / toddlers with developmental delays and/or disabilities in Early Intervention (0-3 years old) and Early Childhood (4-12 years old). Most of their business comes from the State, and they’ve struggled hiring enough therapists to service all those children that need care.

Existing Problems

This was a unique call. Brian, Shining Star’s COO and co-founder called and said, “We turn business away every day. We don’t want any new business. We want to be able to service everything we turn away.” Getting to the root cause of the problem showed that their website was so bad, that any prospects, would not apply for an open position. SST needed a way to drive open therapist positions, and provide something unique to those prospects to entice them to apply. They also didn’t have anyone on staff to write the site content or produce their logo and collateral.

Our Solutions

With a limited budget, Clarity started with a new logo, site design, sales brochures and website designed for recruiting in mind. SEO, therapist resources and technology, employee benefits, integration to different 3rd party job application systems and more was just some of what the website provided. Clarity went on to build an entire therapist portal on the backend, to facilitate a completely green environment (online calendars, access to payroll and benefits, company collateral and newsletters, PTO requests, patient consent forms, an FAQ and much more).

The Benefits

For the six months previous to launching the new site, out of 300 Indeed leads, not one filled out an application. Within three months of launching the new site, SST hired 6 therapists and within a year more than 20. The site became so successful, Clarity added HIPAA compliant new patient signup and consent forms, HIPAA PHI document loading, continuing education requests, localization and much more.

Technologies

The front-end CMS is DNN’s Evoq Professional. HTML5, CSS3 and Modernizr was used to create the responsive template.

Clarity Connect, JavaScript, JQuery, Telerik controls were all needed for various features and functionality, as well as a host of DNN modules, like XMod Pro, Easy DNN News, Rotator and Gallery.
