The Client

As a Microsoft Competency Partner, Provance participates at the highest of three levels of membership in the Microsoft Partner Network. Competency partners have distinguished themselves by demonstrating a specific, proven skillset through a combination of customer references, customer satisfaction surveys, company assessments and the completion of certification exams by individual employees. Provance holds the gold Microsoft Software Asset Management (SAM) and silver Volume Licensing competency certifications.


Existing Problems

Provance was experiencing success, if it was brought to them by Microsoft, but their site didn’t perform and represent their success, as well as not having an online store, caused them to miss out on a lot of sales revenue. They also didn’t have any way to capture potential leads to either their CRM or marketing automation solutions. Finally, they needed a way to sell solutions, and produce license keys in real-time for their customers.

Our Solutions

Clarity designed them a mobile responsive website, that reflected their Microsoft heritage. Alongside the site, Clarity built an online technology storefront, where clients could purchase their management packs for nearly every Microsoft Suite of products. The site was optimized for lead capture and integrated into their back-office CRM (Microsoft Dynamics CRM) and their marketing automation tool (Marketo). A third integration was done to a 3rd party licensing tool (i.e. when you purchased a product, the order was processed through that service to generate the license key).

The Benefits

Provance’s old site didn’t reflect either their link to Microsoft, and was behind modern technology, which for a technology company, something that was damaging to their business. The new site was a technology heavy, well-designed, and high performance website. All new lead capture collateral gating strategies were launched, which translated to a whole new stream of leads, which were automatically pushed to Marketo for follow-up and new contact records created in Dynamics CRM. Their new online store was also such a success that their company was acquired within a year after launching the new sites.




DNN Evoq was chosen for the CMS for both sites. HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap was used to build the mobile responsive templates. Clarity eCommerce was used as the storefront. Various DNN modules and custom code filled out the rest of the sites. Clarity Connect was used for the integration to Dynamics CRM, Marketo email marketing automation platform and their 3rd party licensing tool.
