A multilingual website can be a nice advantage for one website while being vital to another company's market plan. Ron Halversen, vice-president of sales and marketing at Clarity Ventures, describes the process of getting a multilingual eCommerce website.

Hi, Ron from Clarity. Today we're going to take a look at th LDR Holdings multilingual eCommerce website capability that Clarity built. LDR is the inventor of many different types of cervical and thoracic lumbar devices when you have neck and back surgery for disc replacement.

So let's go take a look at their multilingual website. Here's the global homepage, and you can see that across the bottom. They have representation globally and they've got sites in Brazil, China, France, Germany, Korea and the United States. Part of the reason that instead of translating this website into additional languages is the fact that each of these countries have different types of laws and [the equivilant of the United States] FDA to approve things. They have different organizations there that have to approve devices. They actually release and support and sell different devices in each country. So they literally had to have a unique DNN website for each country that was different.

So let's take a look at Brazil with a Dot Net Nuke eCommerce site. Now with Brazil, the entire site's translated into Portuguese. And this includes the menus. It also includes the products, the information, the video translations, the documentation. So here's a surgical document and you can see, and everything on this mutilingual website site is translated.

Let's take a look at China. You can see everything is also translated to Chinese, including the menu options in the products. And the same thing for France. And Germany. And even within those products, the France multilingual site is where the headquarters is and they actually release more products there. But there are so many people in Europe that speak English that they can sell those products, too, that they actually had us translate this site just into French and English. So it's now the French site, but with an additional English translation so that they can sell those products in Europe.

So as you can see, there's a fairly extensive global presence. We've got numerous websites, different products on each multilingual eCommerce website with many translations of marketing collateral, sales collateral, and technical information. Thanks for watching.
